Hi, I’m Shannon

Shannon Shuck Outdoor Headshot

I'm a lifestyle photographer based in Castle Rock, Colorado, and I believe the best photographs aren't the perfectly posed ones. They're the ones that help you remember the laughter, the connection, and the little details that change far too quickly.

As a mom of three and a photographer for more than a decade, I know just how quickly life changes. One minute you're rocking a newborn to sleep. The next, you're shopping for graduation announcements. That's why I'm passionate about capturing the genuine laughter, connection, and love that make your family uniquely yours.

My clients often tell me the same thing: "I can't believe you got my child to smile." Kids are my favorite people to photograph, and I have a knack for helping them feel comfortable, confident, and free to be themselves. The result is authentic images filled with real personalities, real emotions, and real memories.

Don't worry about the wiggly ones

It's the question I hear most often before a family session:

"What if my kids won't cooperate?"

Here's the truth, I don't expect them to.

I'm not looking for perfect behavior or perfect poses.

I meet kids exactly where they are.

We keep things relaxed, take breaks, move around, and follow their lead.

We might eat a snack. We'll definitely laugh.

And some of my favorite images have come from the moments right in between the "official" ones.

Your only job is to show up. I'll take it from there.
